igår sendte lydverket en reportasje fra oppholdet mitt i skaland i troms.
det var der jeg komponerte alle låtene til det kommende albumet mitt,
“blood from a stone”.

hi all!

i know it’s been a long time since the last sign of life from me. but it’s all because i want your ears to have the best!
i’ve been sitting on an island north for the polar circle, Senja, and composed songs for my new album which is called “Blood From a Stone”. this took about seven months, and the rest of the year 2008, i spent recording it all in Propeller studios with my regular producer Kåre Vestrheim.
it all has become an album inspired by my earlier tastes i thought were too precious to throw away, which means rock orientated music. so i sat on an island and made rock songs, i would call it a mixture of new wave, no wave and indie music. but the music is still wrapped in my personal sound, small sounds, found sounds, weird objects used as instruments and different layers. and i find it really relieving to make this sort of non introvert music now. this is a record more direct, more loud and from the hip. lyrically as well.

this music is finished and ready, but no one will actually here anything before the release in april….

i’m almost done with my album and the norwegian music TV program Lydverket visited me in Skaland, where i’ve been for the last year composing my new songs. they recorded me playing a song and put up the video on their homepage.

NEW ALBUM

hi, all!

it’s been a long time since last post, now. but for a good reason:

i’ve been spending seven months in a little village very far north in norway to compose music to my new record.

and now i’m back in oslo recording it all in the propeller studio.

there’re lots of surprises!

it will be released at spring time next year and i will at least come

touring in norway, europe and US, so watch out!

i’ll try to inform you here and at myspace as best as i can.
