Rooftop Films and Sweden’s Music Doc festival present a special screening of music and documentary films from Scandinavia, plus a live performance by Norway’s extraordinary Hanne Hukkelberg. Head on up to the roof at Open Road Rooftop this Friday for a special presentation of Knut Eric Jensen fantastic documentary, Cool & Crazy, a portrait of the dedicated members of Norway’s Berlevag Male Choir. Knut Erik Jensen’s thoroughly charming docu-musical – dubbed the ‘Arctic Buena Vista Social Club’ – has been a smash hit in its native Norway and a favourite at film festivals the world over. It tells the story of the distinguished male voice choir of Berlevåg, one of Norway’s most exposed and northerly fishing villages (and the setting for Isak Dinesen’s ‘Babette’s Feast’).

Prior to the film, Hanne Hukkelberg will perform her mesmerizing music live and solo.
